Cheeseball Detox

We jetted off to the cottage last Wednesday and spent Easton's birthday and the weekend enjoying time up north. One thing the kids love about our trips up there is that we do lots of snacking. Rarely is there a set meal time. By the time Sunday arrives and we are back home, there is always a major junk food detox going on. There was a bad storm/tornado a week before we came that did a lot of tree damage, luckily no structural damage.

Much of Sean's time on the boat is spent jumping off.

Sean built the kids a really cool fort that got knocked down in the storm. here's the new and improved rebuild.

Easton spent some serious time fishing on his birthday. He caught several fish and much to his dismay, a snapping turtle. When he he reeled it in he had this look of disgust and said, "I was supposed to catch a fish!"

A highlight of the trip was a visit from my friend Stacey and her girls, Nora and Clara. The kids had so much fun together and Stacey and I enjoyed catching up.

A long day of playing and zero nap, made for one tired boy.
After swimming and boating all day the kids rallied with a second wind and spent the evening fishing.
