Ready Or Not....Here I Come!

"I'm ready for kindergarten but kindergarten is not ready for me!" ~ Kennedy, age 5

You might be ready little girl but am I?? I must sound like a broken record to her these last few days before school starts. "Who's your teacher?, what bus do you ride?, where do you line up when the bell rings? who do you go to if you need help?, what do you do if someone is mean to you? where do kindergartners always sit on the bus?" Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
She had so much fun at her school's open house tonight. Meeting her teacher and seeing her classroom. Afterwards, we met her good friend Emerson and her parents, and took the girls out for dinner. Upon returning home she decided to pout in the corner with a bucket on her head because the fun had ended.

100 Snakes - By: Easton R.

Both kids are really in to hearing stories about when Sean and I were kids. One or the other of them is often asking, "tell me a story from when you were a little girl/boy." Easton came up with this cute little story involving apples, the big bad wolf, dinosaurs and friendly slithering and sliding snakes. My favorite part is the end where instead of saying happily ever after he says, "apples ever after."
