Kennedy and Easton

Really??

Not my brightest moment today.  I was making dinner this morning, way ahead of the game I thought, and dropped a lid to a can into the garbage.  Not but 5 seconds later I thought it would be a good idea to stick my hand in the garbage can to squish down the trash and make more room.  Seven stitches and a tetanus shot later I decided that was a pretty foolish idea.

Florence

Once again a weekend at the cottage that did not disappoint.  Highlights were:
  • Celebrating East's birthday with family and friends
  • Kennedy braving it and jumping in to the middle of the lake for the first time.  What started out as fear became courage and pure bliss as she jumped off the boat ALL afternoon perfecting her tricks.
  • Hanging out with my good friend Stacey and her girls
  • Tubing behind a very slow pontoon (check out Tayler the show-off)
  • Easton peeing standing up.  He's been waiting until he turned 4...then...whabam!  Every tree was watered and he even got crazy and dropped trou' on the boat a few times and made a fountain right over the edge.  Now the challenge is bringing it back to reality (No Easton , you may not pee in the front yard).
  • Long naps and good reads
  • Pasties
  • Did I mention loads of fun?

Four

Dear Easton,
Four years ago today (actually yesterday, but, we were at the cabin) you gifted me with the greatest gift ever. We welcomed you and your little blond mohawk into this world. You have delighted us ever since. Between your raspy voice that makes you sound like an eighty-five year old man and your clever comments, you never cease to amaze. You are a considerate, creative, energetic and handsome little boy and I am so lucky you belong to me. Happy birthday Easton Michael!

I love you little bug.
