Kennedy: " Mommy, do I have to change my last name if I get married?"

Me: "Nope. Sometimes girls do, but, sometimes they don't."

Kennedy: "Good, I'm not going to unless my husband has a really great last name like Pink Unicorn."

Four (and a half)

This little boy is not old enough to be starting kindergarten in 6 months, is he?  The school called today to confirm he'll be attending.  I said...yes...sniff sniff.  He's confident and clever and I'm sure he'll be fine.  But, he's my baby and he'll be one of the youngest in his class.  I want him to love it and be great at it and be able to hold his own with the other kids.  He will.
