All You Gotta Do is Repeat After Me....A,B,C...1,2,3....

I'm pretty convinced that preschool's mostly for playing and developing social skills. You know, the basics that we use throughout our lives; sharing, taking turns, following directions, making friends.  But, I do really appreciate that Easton's school has a bit of an academic component. Since starting about 6 weeks ago, he is now able to recognize many letters, differentiate between upper and lower case, is starting to recognize numbers and can even write the first letter of his name. All new skills that are fun to watch develop.   

We've had Charlie staying with us for a few days.   The kids adore him and it is so fun for me to have a baby in the house.  He has had fun watching Kennedy and Easton zoom all over the place and tracks their every move.  I even got him out in the snow for the first time.   I took lots of darling pictures of him out there in the white stuff.  But, like a space cadet I realized later that my memory card was not in the camera.  Arghhh!    I May have to get him out there again tomorrow, if for no other reason, to document it.  With 15"-20" expected and 700+ flights cancelled at MSP we may have him here for a few more days.
