Jack

Easton is my little Jack-of-all-trades. He is right beside the big kids in the neighborhood playing baseball and keeping up on his (OK, his sister's) scooter. He is the helpful assistant in Kennedy's magic show and delights in the "Disappearing Easton" trick. He loves to show off his jumping skills and makes a jump attempt off of just about anything. Afterwards he usually manages the proud "Ta-da!!"

He thinks he's a comedian and gets the biggest kick out of himself.

My favorite thing about him right now is his rapidly expanding vocabulary. He told Sean today, "Daddy, I'm so happy!" and loves to tell me "Mommy, I missed you." Awwwww......

Bye-Bye Training Wheels

One of Kennedy's little friends learned how to ride a two wheeler a few weeks back. After seeing the video clip of her friend, Kennedy's response was a candid, "I need my training wheels off so I can ride alongside Emerson, she'll need someone to ride with." I was not super keen on the idea at first, thinking it might be a dramatic and long process. But...we decided to to let her go for it. I am amazed at how quickly she got it and have had so much fun watching her. After a couple days of practice she was off!! Now, she wants to practice daily and has currently been perfecting her turning technique.

Pumpkin Run

I ran the Jack-O-Lantern 5K on Halloween morning and Kennedy ran her first ever race. It was a cold morning but a great way to start the Halloween festivities out. The kid's run was around the parking lot at the community center. Kennedy has been wearing her race medal around the house with lots of pride.
