Preschool Fieldtrip to the Farm

Easton's class went to Gale Woods farm today.  It was such a fun outing!  The kids got a bunch of hands-on learning experiences including feeding chickens, brushing cows and even trying fresh mint, asparagus and rhubarb.  When the field trip was over Easton said to his teacher, "See you next fall in the big kid class!"

Here comes the....

Kennedy and I joined my mom for a mother/daughter dinner at her church tonight.  The featured event was wedding dresses.  Everyone was asked to bring their dress/photo/memorabilia so that the group could see the history and evolution of wedding dresses (some as old as late 1800's).  For the brave, there was a catwalk.  Kennedy wore my mom's wedding dress from 1966 for the fashion show.

Be the One Run

On an overcast and wet Saturday morning we joined my parents in the Be the One Run to support the National Marrow Donor Program. They had a fun Tot Trot before the 5K and both kids ran in it. Easton wanted me to run with him so we held hands and ran. I told Kennedy before the race, "don't push any other kids if you're trying to run past them...but don't let anyone get in your way either." Well, little lightening legs won the race and both kids walked away with a medal and a bag of fun goodies.
