Today I had the extreme pleasure of being an invited guest at a first grade Author's Tea. All the kids in Kennedy's class wrote stories, all very unique, and read them out loud to invited guests including parents, grandparents, the principal and even the district Superintendent. Bravo Kennedy, you nailed it! Every bone in my body was beaming with pride as you eloquently read aloud to a large group of people. Brave girl!
After all the kids finished we had punch and cookies and each child received a bucket full of summer goodies from Mrs. Connell. Attached to each bucket was a "bucket list" they had individually written. It was such a well done event and so fun to see how much progress all the kids have made as writers and readers.

Kennedy did a wonderful job!!! She has grown so much this year! I will miss her!!
