Day 2 of the recovery and things are going pretty well. Her pain seems manageable thanks to her gigantic bottle of Percocet (see picture below). She has been doing a lot of sleeping and watching videos and today had enough energy to work on a craft project and play Polly Pockets. The need for the procedure was again affirmed as necessary after the ENT and anesthesiologist told us that her adenoids were in the top 1% for size and that they had made their way all the way in to her nose. My little pixie smelled an M&M today and said it was the best thing she had ever smelled. I guess when your nose is filled with adenoids your sniffer doesn't function at capacity. Yeah for delicious smelling M&M's, resilient kids who recover quickly and all the medical staff that were so good to us!

| When Kennedy came out of surgery the hospital staff had her stuffed otter, Ollie, all dressed in scrubs. Ollie got her tonsils out too :) |
We are so glad that Kennedy is feeling better! What a brave little girl- we've been thinking about you guys. Hope she continues to recover speedy fast.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Love the scrubs Easton! Keep up the good work.
