Faux Fall

It has been unseasonably warm these past few October days. Nonetheless, we found a quaint little pumpkin patch near our house and picked pumpkins yesterday. We should have been wearing cozy sweaters and sipping apple cider. Instead, we wore shorts and drank ice water. Fall you cannot fool me I know you are lurking close. And honestly I'd rather spend a few days with your warm summer sister than have your icy winter brother knocking at my door. So, cheers!, to an Indian Summer that has allowed us a little bit more time enjoying the outdoors before we hibernate with Jack Frost.
