Hands off!!

We were at the park the other day and two older and bigger little boys had backed Easton in to a corner and seemed to be pestering him. I was watching from about 15 feet away and told him to use his words and tell the boys, "No thank you." He said it, and the two little _____ (fill in the blank) kept hassling him and the next thing you know, he gets shoved. Hard. GROWWLLLLLLLL...that is my mama bear instinct appearing. Needless to say, at this point I intervened. But, it broke my heart to see my little guy get tormented by preschool riff raff.

It's so hard as a parent to tread that fine line between advocating for your child and allowing them to learn how to navigate situations on their own.

  1. Where were the other little boys parents and why didn't they stop their little bullies??

  2. This same type of thing has happened to me as well. It pretty much stinks and is very frustrating because you want to yell at the other parents to keep their kid in check and PAY ATTENTION!!! Good for you for intervening!
